Beethoven: Symphony No. 5 in C minor, Op. 67, Andante con moto movement
In late 2020, in trying to stay connected while we were apart and to honor the memory of our founder, Dr. Ephraim L. Rubin, we put together a virtual performance of the Andante con moto from Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony. Riverside Orchestra musicians performed their parts at home along with a guide track conducted by Riverside Orchestra Music Director Reuben Blundell (who also played some string parts!), and submitted their recordings to Reuben, who then assembled them in Adobe Audition…(it’s way harder than playing and conducting live but we made it look easy!) We present our performance for you below, with a photo montage of the Riverside Orchestra. Enjoy!
